Overland Park, Kan.--The 2008 Automotive Service Association of Missouri/Kansas (ASA-MO/KAN) Vision Hi-Tech Training & Expo will launch its 16th year March 7-8 at the Overland Park Convention Center. The event brings in more than 3,000 professionals throughout the country.
ASA-MO/KAN Executive Director Sheri Hamilton said the expo includes 60,000 square feet of exhibit space featuring products and services from hundreds of venders--allowing people to experience first-hand the latest tools, equipment, and services to make their businesses more efficient and profitable.
Since courses fill up quickly, early registration is encouraged in order to get your first choice, Hamilton said.
"Vision offers cutting-edge courses by some of the industry's top trainers," she said. "Our reputation has been founded on offering quality training without sales pitches." She added that the event also offers many networking opportunities for shop owners, technicians, and vendors.
"Attendees, whether they are a shop owner, service manager, or technician, will find numerous benefits from attending Vision," Hamilton said. "The information and training will provide techniques and skills that can be immediately applied when they return to the shop on Monday."
This year's event will also feature some new topics and trainers, including the Women's Industry Roundtable. Hamilton said the panel will address issues that women face in the automotive service industry and business.
"Panelists featured in this event are shop owners, service advisors and spouses," she said. "They will share their experiences working in the industry, balancing work and family, and address attendee questions."
Spots are still available in the expo to showcase equipment, materials, and technology to professionals, Hamilton said.
