Scholarships offered for Automotive Training Expo

Tacoma-Six scholarships are being offered for those seeking to attend the Automotive Training Expo (ATE) on March 28-30 in SeaTac. The Industry Technicians Education Coalition (ITEC) is offering five of the full scholarships, and the Ascettes group of the Automotive Service Association of Washington (ASA-WA) is offering one.

The scholarships cover the $395 training package that includes access to all training programs being offered over three days, two days of lunches, two breakfasts, one dinner, and access to the trade expo being staged in conjunction with the training event.

Applications for the scholarships are open to anyone in the automotive service and repair industry, including mechanical and collision technicians, shop owners or managers, service writers, fleet personnel, or those involved in automotive education.

More than 40 total classes will be offered at ATE covering technical, management, and certification courses for those in the repair, service, tire, education, and parts fields. In addition, three keynote speakers will address attendees (Saturday breakfast and lunch, and Sunday breakfast) and a product trade show will be staged on Friday and Saturday evening following training sessions.

To apply for the scholarships, contact ASA-WA at 253-473-6970 or 877-257-2100. For additional information or general registration on ATE, visit www.atetrainingexpo.com.

ATE is sponsored by ASA-WA, the Northwest Tire Dealers Association, and the Washington Automotive Wholesalers Association. Parts & People is the official media sponsor of ATE.
