Bedford, Texas--The Automotive Service Association (ASA) has announced a new chapter agreement with ASA-of Central New Mexico (ASA-CNM) and the launch of that chapter’s Web site, www.asashopnm.com.

The central New Mexico chapter was established to provide additional services, networking opportunities, and a legislative voice in New Mexico, ASA said.  The chapter will represent ASA members in Santa Fe, Belen, Cedar Crest, Albuquerque, Los Lunas, and Rio Rancho.

“ASA has a strong member base in central New Mexico, and the establishment of our newest chapter will provide additional value to those members,” said B.J. Johnson, ASA’s vice president of membership services.

“Chapter leaders are dedicated to advancing the industry and association through networking opportunities and legislative activities,” Johnson said.  “Providing these types of opportunities is at the heart of what ASA is and represents.”

As a chapter of ASA, ASA-CNM members will have a unified voice in the automotive service and repair industry to further the success of member-businesses in the central New Mexico area, Johnson said.

“We are looking forward to many positive developments as a result of formalizing the ASA of Central New Mexico Chapter,” said Jim Maddox, owner of Jim’s Automotive, Albuquerque, and chapter president.

“We all know that there is strength in numbers,” Maddox said.  “And with the launch of our new Web site, we will be able to provide ongoing communication of our chapter activities.

“With the use of local, well-placed advertising, we will be able to increase public awareness of what ASA-CNM is and what we do for the community, which will in turn bring more customers to ASA shops in the area.”
