Bethesda, Md.--Type the words "car care" into any major search engine and the first Web site listed will be www.carcare.org. The Car Care Council site is ranked first on all major search engines including AOL, Ask.com, Google, MSN and Yahoo.
"The number-one ranking of the Car Care Council's Web site among all the top search engines is evidence that the 'Be Car Care Aware' campaign has made a real impact on motorists, the media and the industry," said Rich White, executive director, Car Care Council. "Being the leading car care Web site is one more example of how the Car Care Council is positioned as the credible third-party source of information on vehicle care and maintenance for the aftermarket industry."
Average monthly visitors to www.carcare.org have grown from 55,000 at the end of the 2003 to more than 155,000 in 2007. The Car Care Council plans to update the site in 2008 with a fresh, new look and easier-to-navigate functionality. While new content is often added to the site, the council also plans to incorporate valuable information outlined in the popular Car Care Guide.
