Snap-on introduces 10-inch grooved-jaw locking pliers
RSS Feed

Kenosha, Wis.--Technicians rely on tools to work right every time in order to stay efficient, productive and profitable. When it comes to pliers, that means holding an object tightly in its place throughout the entire job, no matter what the size of the object. Snap-on Tools makes it easy for techs to get a grip with the company's innovative new 10-inch Grooved-Jaw Locking Pliers.

The only one of its kind on the market, the pliers offer a multitude of features, ensuring that objects in a variety of shapes and sizes are gripped securely, offering techs the ultimate in control and power so they never have to compromise.

The tool's longitudinal v-groove section provides three points of contact when engaged, preventing lateral movement while working. The design of the groove is uniquely tapered, allowing for a firm hold on round objects of various diameters (from 0.8" to 1"), such as drill bits, taps, bolts, small tubes and more.

In addition, the convex tooth section of the mobile jaw pushes flat work pieces against the large flat, fixed jaw for tighter clamping. Also, the recessed area of the mobile jaw allows angled objects to be held and clears small obstacles.

The tool can grip several different shaped objects, due to its serrated milled teeth. And, because of its large 2 1/3" opening capacity, the pliers can hold larger objects securely in place. The pliers also boast more teeth than any pliers on the market with 18 teeth on the top jaw and eight teeth on the smaller bottom jaw to boost gripping ability.

The Grooved-Jaw Locking Pliers feature a locking nut to secure the jaw opening when working on repeat jobs and a spring-loaded "no pinch" release lever for easy and pain-free operation.
