Collision industry expert Tom McGee joins Alldata
RSS Feed

Elk Grove, Calif.--Alldata LLC, a provider of vehicle manufacturers' service and repair information for professional repair shops, has hired Tom McGee as national account manager for Alldata Collision.

"Tom McGee is a great addition to our staff," said Alldata Vice President of Sales Kerry Keller.  "He is well known in the collision industry and can help us reach collision shop owners with our message that Alldata Collision can help them increase their productivity and, by extension, their profitability. He will also be valuable in helping us shape the product to meet future needs."

Before joining Alldata, McGee was on the I-CAR staff for more than 18 years, holding the positions of I-CAR president and CEO, director of Industry Relations and Product Operations, and technical director.  He is an ASE-certified Master Collision Repair/Refinish Technician and also has the ASE damage analysis and estimating certification.

An automotive collision repair graduate of Ferris State College in Big Rapids, Mich., McGee has broad experience in the collision industry, including operating a collision repair facility. He also has experience as a career and technical school instructor, training manager, and instructional designer.

"I am very excited to join the Alldata team," McGee said. "The products, services, and support that Alldata offers are designed to provide the collision repair industry with much needed, easy-to-use access to proper repair procedures.

"The collision industry is facing constant changes in vehicle construction," he said.  "The identification and use of the proper procedures required to repair the wide variety of steels, aluminum, plastics, steering and suspension systems, electronics, hybrids, occupant protection, and other vehicle systems being used has never been as critical as it is today.

"Access to this information needs to be available to not only the technician performing collision repairs, but must also be available at the time the estimate is being prepared to ensure that the proper repair or replace decisions are being made, and that any specialty tools, equipment, or materials that are needed are identified before repairs begin.

"Alldata Collision provides the collision industry with a single source for the procedures they need," McGee said.
