Cleveland, Ohio -- AutoXray has introduced the AX7000 TechScan, a bilingual (English and Spanish) OBD I and II, enhanced CAN scan tool which offers automotive DIYers and technicians the ability to customize their tool to fit specific needs through the purchase of SD Card Kits that contain live data for Honda, Toyota, and Nissan vehicles, in addition to ABS codes.

The AX7000 TechScan can scan OBD I domestic data, OBD II universal data, print directly to a USB printer, and includes onscreen graphing, LIVE sensor data, as well as a 50 percent larger backlit display, than its predecessor, the AX6000. In addition, the AX7000 includes enhanced codes, definitions and bi-directional functionality for problem specific diagnoses and more thorough diagnostic information. To further customize your tool to your specific needs, SD Card Kits are also available.

The exclusive, easy-to-use SD Card Kits slide into the AX7000 TechScan base unit to provide users access to features and vehicle coverage normally only found in higher-priced professional diagnostic tools. In addition to extra memory, SD Card Kits offer DIYers and professional technicians a more cost-effective solution to purchase only the upgrade they need.

Initial SD Card Kits available include:

• An ABS kit for complete ABS support for GM, Ford and Chrysler OBD II vehicles;

• A Honda/Acura kit that provides both OBD I and enhanced datastream OBD II coverage for Honda and Acura vehicles, as well as an OBD I Honda/Acura cable;

• A Toyota/Lexus/Scion kit with OBD I and enhanced datastream OBD II coverage, and Toyota and Lexus cables; and

• A Nissan/Infiniti SD Kit with OBD I code data and coverage, as well as OBD I Nissan/Infiniti cables.

Additional SD Card Kits are planned.

"The AX7000 provides a welcome alternative for DIYers or technicians who need specific functions, normally found only in high-priced professional scan tools," said Jennifer Grabowski, product manager. "This customization gives tool owners a more cost-effective and efficient scan tool."
