Top professional engine builders and engine builder organizations highly recommend pre-lubing new and remanufactured engines before startup to prevent damage to internal engine bearings, crankshafts, camshafts, and valve trains. Pressurizing the oil system prior to startup is especially helpful for motors that have been warehoused or operating in cold weather conditions where startup is difficult.
The EQ Engine Pre-Luber easily mounts to the oil pressure sending unit and holds up to five quarts of oil to pressurize the oil system quickly and easily. EQ Engine Pre-Luber works with crank and chain driven oil pumps, and is sold complete with all mounting adaptors and hose.
