Kenosha, Wis.—With the recent opening of Snap-on’s Innovation Works facility, the tradition of innovative excellence continues and is exemplified by Snap-on’s Workhorse MIG Welder (MIG220).

“Listening to our customers, we have designed a welder that will allow them to do more jobs quickly and efficiently.  The Snap-on Workhorse MIG Welding Machine is perfect for repair shops, body shops, farm and metal fabrication shops.  The MIG220 features a higher duty cycle than its competitors which offers extended weld times at a higher amperage setting.  In addition to this, the same internal design methods used on our industry-leading Muscle MIG series were used in this unit,” said Michael DeKeuster, category manager for Snap-on.

Snap-on’s Workhorse MIG Welder (MIG220) features:
• Maximum setting of 220A and a duty cycle of 60 percent at 180A—provides enough power to weld 5/16 inch in a single pass

• 12 MIG settings—four TIG settings

• All copper triple-insulated transformer windings for extended duty cycle and performance

• Silicon steel laminations bolted and insulated for high efficiency

• Voltage taps for exact output control

• All metal drive gears and cast aluminum wire drive system

• Cooling fan for extended weld times

• Quick changeover to gasless and TIG welding

• Voltmeter indicates OCV or arc voltage

• Aluminum spool gun ready and a DC TIG attachment can be added as an optional accessory

• Comes complete with gas regulator-flowmeter
