Pleasanton, Calif. – Officials of co-sponsors Levin's Auto Supply of Sacramento, Calif., and Speed Warehouse of Hayward,
Calif., said they were pleased with the attendance and sales results for their 13th annual Northern California Automotive Show, a one-day purchasing show for jobbers and distributors on April 6 in the 33,000-square-foot Young America Building at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton.
The show's theme this year was "We've Gone Mad!" Doug Light, president of Speed Warehouse, and Doug Stanley, president of Levin's, appeared on the cover of the show's program being shocked by jumper cables, symbolizing that they were "crazy" to be offering such good deals at the buying show.
The event was well-received by vendors and customers, Stanley said.
"Once again the weather was ideal for the Northern California Automotive Show," he said. "Even with a sluggish economy, we did well. Over 300 accounts from all over the country attended the show, and many customers were on site almost all day long."
Levin's and Speed Warehouse were pleased with the results. "Even though the final numbers aren't in yet, it appears as though both companies had a great day of sales," Stanley said.
Every customer who spent more than $10,000 on Levin's merchandise at the show became instantly eligible to attend a special dinner sometime in May and was entered into a drawing for two Apple iPhones with fully paid AT&T service for one year and a new Apple MacBook Air laptop computer.
