From l., Downtown Ford of Sacramento's Parts Manager D.C. Sarra, Aiden Garcia (in model car), Amy Garcia, Audrey Garcia (kneeling), and Downtown Ford Outside Sales Representative Cheryl Rouse participate in the dealership's open house/Make-A-Wish Foundation fundraiser on April 5. Sacramento-Downtown Ford of Sacramento hosted an open house on April 5 to meet with wholesale, fleet, and retail customers and to raise money in conjunction with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for Aiden Garcia, a 4-year-old boy with Crohn's disease.

The event also featured the Blue Diamond Powerstroke trailer and representatives from Blue Diamond, who were on hand to answer diesel questions and demonstrate their products.

Aiden, who wants to go on a Disney cruise with his family, needs $6,000 to have his wish granted.  Downtown Ford Owner Ray Enos, Parts Manager D.C. Sarra, and Outside Sales Representative Cheryl Rouse are directing efforts to raise the sum so that the boy can go on the cruise, Sarra said.

From l., Ed Ischer, western regional manager for Blue Diamond Parts LLC; Ford Western Zone Manager Amy Morgan; and Rick Burleson, parts sales manager for Blue Diamond, pose with the Blue Diamond Powerstroke trailer at Downtown Ford's open house/Make-A-Wish Foundation fundraiser on April 5.
"This gathering is a combination of an open house, a customer appreciation day, an employee incentive program, and a Make-A-Wish fundraiser," he said.  "We decided to merge all of these events into one big mega-event."

Sarra said everyone is working together to raise the money for Aiden and his family.

"We're asking our employees, vendors, and customers for straight donations," he said.  "And we're also donating one dollar for every vehicle we service in the month of April.  In addition, our parts department is donating $25 for every Ford powertrain unit sold."
