- The SDORC raffle car and trailer will be given away at the Extreme Motorsports Expo at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa on May 18. Tickets may be purchased at the Expo right up until the time of the drawing. For details see our Web site (www.sdorc.org).
- The May/June edition of SDORC's official newsletter, The Endangered Off-Roader, is now available on our Web site (www.sdorc.org).
- Tom Gillett, the District Ranger of the Descanso District of the Cleveland National Forest, is leaving the district. The Corral Canyon OHV area is in his district, and he has been very supportive of OHV recreation.
- There will be a going away party for Tom on May 16, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. in Harvest Buffet at Viejas Casino. Buffet costs $16.04 per person (this includes gratuity). Please RSVP by May 14,2008 to Descanso's Front Desk at 619.445.6235.

Correction: SDORC's next official highway cleanup will be Sunday, May 4. Our last update erroneously stated the date as the 2nd. Meet at 7:00 a.m. at the Buckman Springs exit off I-8. We need all the help we can get. We will be serving lunch after the cleanup. Please contact Jan at jangeraghty@cox.net if you can attend so we can get a count for the food.
