AMI announces applications for the $1,000 AVI Scholarship

The Automotive Management Institute (AMI), is accepting applications for the $1,000 Automotive Video Inc. (AVI) Scholarship.  AMI's resource development effort, Excel, in conjunction with AVI established the scholarship to help automotive service professionals obtain the management education and technical training essential for success in today's ever-changing industry.


AVI, a leader in automotive diagnostic and repair training programs for automotive repair professionals since 1994, will fund the scholarship using proceeds from its "Casino Night," a fundraising effort held during AVI's Annual Training Conference.  The success of this year's event will fund three $1,000 scholarships.


To request a scholarship application, call AMI at (800) 272-7467, ext. 241, or complete the scholarship application online at www.amionline.org. Applications must be received by AMI on or before Aug. 15, 2008. The scholarship recipient will be notified by AMI on or before Sept. 15, 2008.

 
2008 SEMA scholarship applications now available

Diamond Bar, Calif.--Full-time students in the United States and Canada pursuing a career in the automotive industry may be eligible for financial assistance through the SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund (SMSF).


The SMSF was established in 1984 to foster leadership opportunities in the automotive specialty equipment market and support education.

 
Since its inception, the SMSF has awarded $1 million in scholarship funds. It also presents Loan Forgiveness Scholarships to any college graduate with outstanding student loans and currently employed by a SEMA-member company.


SEMA Memorial Scholarships awards range from $1,000 to $4,000, while the Loan Forgiveness Scholarship is limited to $1,000.

AAIA & GAAS scholarships are available for high school graduates and college students.
 
Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium

All of the net proceeds of the Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium are used to fund scholarships for students pursuing careers in the automotive aftermarket. Since the program began, more than 1,300 scholarships have been awarded.

 
Automotive Hall of Fame
The Automotive Hall of Fame serves as administrator to over $20,000 in combined college scholarships annually. The applicant must indicate a sincere interest in an automotive related career.
 
Automotive Womens Network
AWN is dedicated to the promotion and representation of women in the automotive industry through scholarship, networking, education and mentoring. We are now accepting applications for our Scholarship Program.

The Automotive Management Institute (AMI) is accepting applications for the annual $1,000 BodyShop Business Magazine Scholarship.  AMI's resource development effort, Excel, in conjunction with Babcox Publications, established the scholarship, which is awarded to an Automotive Service Association (ASA) Collision Division member who strives to be, or is presently working, in a management capacity.

The Automotive Management Institute (AMI) is accepting applications for the Richard Cossette/Gale Westerlund Memorial Scholarship.  The scholarship, offered in conjunction with the Automotive Service Association (ASA), honor the contributions these individuals made to AMI, ASA and the collision repair industry.

Babcox Memorial Scholarship.  AMI's resource development effort, Excel, in conjunction with Babcox Publications, established the scholarship, which is awarded to an Automotive Service Association (ASA) Mechanical Division member who strives to be, or is presently working, in a management capacity.

AMI Accepting 2008 Emil Stanley Merit Award Applications

The Automotive Management Institute (AMI) is accepting applications for the 2008 Emil Stanley Merit Award. The scholarship is awarded annually to an individual who works in an Automotive Service Association (ASA) Collision Division member-business and who displays a desire to improve their business skills through management education.

The Automotive Management Institute (AMI) is accepting applications for the $1,000 Zurich "High Octane" Scholarship.  AMI's resource development effort, Excel, in conjunction with Zurich, formerly Universal Underwriters Group, established the scholarship, which is awarded to an Automotive Service Association (ASA) Mechanical Division member who strives to be, or is presently working in a management capacity.


Zurich introduced the scholarship program specifically to address the educational needs of the automotive aftermarket.  Zurich provides a range of customized products for the automotive aftermarket.

SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund
In response to the rising costs of education, the SEMA Scholarship program was restructured in 2004 to cover a broader base of students attending various universities, colleges, and/or vocational schools in both the United States and Canada.   To further offer incentives for students to apply for SEMA scholarships, the award categories were increased with incentives positioned for the top applicant with the highest academic standing in select categories.

AAMA  has established manufacturing scholarships for individuals pursuing an automotive manufacturing education at two-year colleges in Alabama.

 
Mitchell 1 accepting applications for its 2008 Automotive Technology Outstanding Student Scholarship
Mitchell 1 has announced it is accepting applications for its annual $2,500 Automotive Technology Outstanding Student Scholarship to be awarded through the North American Council of Automotive Teachers (NACAT) Education Foundation at its annual conference.  The scholarship will recognize one U.S. high school senior for outstanding achievement in automotive technology/auto shop repair scholastics.  Applications must be postmarked by May 15, 2008 and sent to:
