Rotary introduces in-ground lift with movable pads
RSS Feed

Madison, Ind.--Rotary Lift's new SL210-MP8 Moveable Pad SmartLift in-ground lift makes raising a car for service faster and easier than ever.  Plus, its ultralow profile of just 2 3/8 inches reduces concerns about scraping the undersides of lower-profile vehicles on the lift superstructure.Rotary Lift's new SL210-MP8 Moveable Pad SmartLift in-ground lift is quick and easy to use to raise most unibody vehicles, plus it offers an ultralow profile to reduce concerns about scraping vehicle undersides.

To use Rotary Lift's Moveable Pad SmartLift, technicians can quickly slide four pads under manufacturer-recommended pickup points on the car being serviced.  This patent-pending adjustment design provides an infinite number of positions to accommodate a wide range of unibody vehicles.  The movable-pad style of in-ground lift is unique to Rotary in North America.

"Our customers asked us for a lift that will help increase their technicians' productivity by reducing the time needed to properly position and raise a vehicle," said Jim Dirksen, Rotary vice president of sales and marketing.

"The SmartLift is the solution," Dirksen said.  "It's perfect for quick service operations, and since the vehicle wheels are free, and not directly engaging the lift, it can also be used for tire and brake work, as well as routine maintenance.  It's an all-around performer for most unibody vehicles."

The Moveable Pad SmartLift minimizes technician trip hazards and provides a wider unobstructed service area under the vehicle (36 3/4 inches between supports) than other in-ground lift models.  It has a lifting capacity of 8,000 pounds and a rise of 73 3/8 inches.

The lift comes standard with a multiposition spotting dish.  Using the dish further reduces the amount of time technicians must spend spotting vehicles.  Like all SmartLifts, the movable-pad model uses Easy Access cylinders and hydraulic hoses that can be serviced without removing the lift from the ground, reducing service call time up to 75 percent.

The SL210-MP8 SmartLift is ETL/ALI-certified.
