LS engine connecting rod bolt from Katech Performance promotes durability
RSS Feed

Clinton Township, Mich.--Katech Performance knows the first step to enhancing the durability of production LS engines is to upgrade the connecting rod bolts.  Compatible with the LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6 and LS7, Katech's new replacement (and reusable) connecting rod bolt is a simple and cost effective form of insurance against failure.

Held to the highest J-rolled thread specification, the bolt offers ultra-high yield strength (240 ksi) and is produced exclusively for Katech Performance by a certified aerospace fastener manufacturer.

"Our bolt allows for greater clamp force and reliability at high rpm," said Caleb Newman, vice president, director of aftermarket operations, Katech Performance.  "We introduced the first high-strength LS replacement rod bolt in 2000 and our latest design works across all Gen III and Gen IV applications."

The Katech Performance bolt is a direct replacement for the factory bolt in powder metal or titanium connecting rods.  In LS7 blocks, no clearance machining is required, thanks to the bolt head's shorter length.
