Hartford, Conn.--Permatex,Inc. has just added Hylomar Universal Blue Racing Formula Gasket Dressing & Flange Sealant to its innovative gasketing line. This non-chlorinated, gel-based sealant is specially formulated to remain flexible and tacky after application, even when exposed to high engine temperatures. It is designed for use with all pre-cut gaskets and head gaskets, and can also be used as a sealant for machined flanges and threaded parts.
Hylomar's non-setting, non-hardening formula allows repeated assembly and disassembly without the need to apply more sealant. It has been proven and adopted by car and truck makers and race teams, worldwide, for sealing gas and diesel engines as well as transmissions. Hylomar is also approved for marine engine applications.
Hylomar Universal Blue Racing Formula Gasket Dressing & Flange Sealant's excellent adhesive properties, vibration resistance, and high temperature range (-60°F to 500°F) make it ideal for use in high performance and heavy-duty applications. Hylomar's non-running formula allows easy application on vertical or underside applications. It resists automotive fluids including water/glycol mixtures, petroleum and synthetic lubricating oils, gasoline, diesel fuels, gasoline/alcohol mixtures, and refrigerants.
Suggested applications include sealing gaskets on head, oil pan, and valve cover gaskets, thermostat housings, oil differential covers, hydraulic drives and motors, intake manifolds, gear boxes, fuel injectors, and fuel pumps, and transmission and torque converter seals.
