Fidanza offers adjustable cam gears for 1994-2000 model mazda miata 1.8l
RSS Feed

Perry, Ohio--While the Mazda Miata is one of the best-selling roadsters in history, it is also one of the most popular cars to take to the track on the weekends.  Now owners of the 1994-2000 Miata 1.8L can realize increased horsepower by installing an aftermarket cam gear from Fidanza.

"The Miata has always been tuner friendly and we knew if we could improve on the original equipment cam gear with an aftermarket product that was reasonably priced, Miata owners would respond," said Bob Scheid, vice president, Fidanza.  "Our cam gears allow for very precise cam degree adjustment, which results in increased horsepower."

Fidanza's Mazda Miata cam gear is available in three colors: clear; red and blue.  Made from lightweight, high-quality machined 6061 T6 aluminum, the product is CNC machined to more exacting tolerances than OE gears.  Tooth edges are beveled to increase belt life and the gear allows for 12 degrees (both advance and retard) of laser-etched adjustments for proper tuning.

Stainless steel studs are threaded through the backside of the outer gear and the inner gear is fastened with stainless steel nuts and lock-washers.  This unique fastening system allows for an increase in the amount of torque used to tighten the fasteners with no risk of stretching the aluminum threads or slipping.
