The Glider prevents damage to the cab of 6 1/2' short bed pickup trucks by allowing the 5th wheel hitch to glide backward towards the tailgate approximately 9" during tight maneuvers, providing the extra cab clearance you need to park or navigate curves.  It allows for greater turning radius with up to 3 1/2" of total adjustment - from 14 1/2" to 18 1/16" - in 1 3/16" increments.
