Delphi Diesel tests demonstrate fuel-filtering efficiency
RSS Feed

Warwick, England--Delphi Diesel recently carried out a series of stringent efficiency tests on a variety of aftermarket diesel-fuel filters--including some well-known replacement brands.Delphi Diesel Common Rail filters meet or exceed OE specification.

The Delphi Diesel filter, which is the OE fitment on one-in-five Common Rail diesel engines, performed 26 times better then the best of the rest, when filtering 4μ particles.  The worst-performing market alternative filter achieved 0 percent water separation, and only the Delphi Diesel filter had a working recirculation system.

Smooth, efficient, and powerful, the modern Common Rail diesel engine has a complex fuel-delivery system sensitive to contamination from minute particles of dirt, air, water, or wax.  It is vital that such particles are prevented from passing through the filter because they can quickly cause terminal damage to the injectors, pump, or the entire system.

By installing a filter that does not meet the vehicle manufacturer's specification, a workshop can invalidate the manufacturer's warranty and possibly be liable for any resulting damage.

Workshop technicians can be confident that every Delphi Diesel Common Rail filter meets or exceeds OE specification.
