Dale Hopkins to address e-commerce initiatives at 2008 MIS Council Fall Conference

Research Triangle Park, N.C.--Dale Hopkins, vice president of information technology for Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, San Antonio, Texas, will speak at the 2008 Fall Conference presented by the MEMA Information Services Council (MIS Council) on Oct. 12-14 at Marco Island, Fla.


Hopkins will discuss the e-commerce and technology approach of the Alliance and its current and future initiatives with suppliers and data standards.


He has more than 20 years of business management and consulting experience in the information technology arena, most recently at the Alliance.

 
Hopkins had a long career in high tech, serving as vice president and general manager for companies such as i2 Technologies, Aspect Development, and CCI/Triad (now known as Activant).  In his technology role, Hopkins successfully managed sales, marketing, business development, operations, software engineering, customer support, and was actively involved in numerous mergers and acquisitions.


Prior to his technology tenure, Hopkins spent more than 10 years managing stores for a large automotive warehouse distributor.
