POST FALLS, IDAHO – July 24, 2008 – Vern Dorsey, Scott Rupert and Craig O'Neal took the top honors during week 13 of Wednesday Night Fever at Stateline Speedway. Repeat winners, wrecks, and records highlighted the evening.

Vern Dorsey captured his second feature win of the season in the Bump to Pass division avoiding bumper tags and spins behind him for the victory. James Cotter and fast time setter Yvonne Lifsey rounded out the top three. Dorsey also won the heat race.

Arron Clother claimed his first dash victory defending his territory against bumping rival Will Whitlow. The two drivers traded taps in the main event sending Whitlow to a sixth place finish and Clother back to fourth.

Scott Rupert claimed the 20-lap main event for the Road Runners holding off dash and heat winner Russell Syverson for the victory. The win is Rupert's second of the season and holds him in contention for the top spot in the standings.

Heat winner Jamie Allen and Bernie Beard won the 15-lap consolation events. Dash winners included Brenden Tarr, Jonathan Tuckness, and Brian Sawatzki. Darin Meeks and Kevin Harris Sr. won heats.

Road Runner events were plagued by a heap of multi car wrecks sending many competitors, including race leaders off the track by the aid of tow trucks.

KC Garber started off the night of Fever 4 racing by knocking down the ever changing track record. Garber unseated record holder Mel Auckerman's previous time by a tenth of a second, recording a lap time of 15.439 seconds.

The fast times were not enough to secure wins as Craig O'Neal zipped by leader Dave Frank and held off a challenge by Andrew McKee in the closing laps to capture his second victory of the season in the 25-lap main event.

Frank finished third with Garber rallying up to fourth at the checkers.

O'Neal also won the fast dash along with Treven Tarr. McKee won the fast heat with Stephen Plesek taking the b heat.

Road Runners and Fever 4 competitors will participate in a special race Friday July 25 called the Bert Shields Auto Supply Gold Cup Summer Classic. Events will start at 6pm. Adult admission is $5.75.

Saturday the ICAR Racing Series is back at the track. NW Legends and Street Stocks are also in action. Tickets are $10.75. Events start at 6pm.

The wild, wacky, unpredictable action of Wednesday Night Fever continues every Wednesday at 6pm with the cars and superstars of the Road Runners, Fever 4's, plus the wild and crazy Bump to Pass division. Adults are just $5.75; kids under the age of nine accompanied by adults are free.
