Lloyd Brothers Motorsports with the support of Aprilia USA and American AGIP announces the sponsorship of 16 year old rising dirt track racer James "the Rocket" Rispoli for the 2008 season. The young dirt tracker from Attica New York will challenge the AMA Flattrack Championship Series in the pro-expert twin's class at this year's GNC races. Rispoli is currently finishing up getting the points he needs for his qualifying provisional license. "We will start our support of James' efforts at the Vernon Downs GNC on May 31st," commented co-owner David Lloyd. "If we can get all his points in by then James will make his debut on the Lloyd Brothers Motorsports Aprilia SXV 550, if not we'll support James in the 450 pro-sport class. Either way we're excited to be helping James achieve his goal of racing at the GNC level."
The team plans to run the entire AMA Flattrack Championship series where it doesn't conflict with James busy race schedule. James has a tight schedule as he is committed to a full Moto-ST series and select WERA road race nationals. "We looked at the entire schedule and worked out a program we can all agree with. James has a lot of drive, determination and talent so things came together pretty easily. He wants a chance at lining up with the best in the business and we're going to help him achieve that goal," continued Lloyd.
In 2007 James achieved (2) AMA Grand Championship Titles and (2) AMA National Short Track Titles for dirt track in addition to his (4) WERA Regional Road Race Championships. Two of those road racing championships were won while campaigning on a Aprilia SXV 550.
