After a big summer shootout at O'Reilly Raceway Park @ Indianapolis earlier this year, Goodguys will return to the Midwest for two big weekends of vintage drag racing action this fall! The 7th Blue Suede Cruise at Summit Motorsports park in Norwalk, Ohio (September 5, 6 & 7) and the 1st Nostalgia Nationals in Bowling Green (Oct. 17, 18 & 19) will offer twelve classes of competition for 1972 and earlier race entries.
The Sioux Falls, Iowa based "Orange Crate" Nostalgia Top Fuel team looks to follow up their Indy victory leading a full field of Nostalgia Top Fuelers into battle at both events. In Nostalgia Funny Car, veteran John Dunn is the man to beat behind the wheel of his potent "Dunn and Gone" 1969 Chevy Nova. The popular cars of Justin Grant (Shumacher's "Wonder Wagon 'Cuda), Danny Miller's Rear Gears Maverick, The Mill Road Boys '70 Camaro and Kyle Wurtzel's pristine "Mowtown Shaker" Vega are just some of the ground pounding Plastic Fantastic's scheduled to attend both races. The popular Geezer Gasser's are back as are the Nostalgia Super Stocker's and all your favorites. The Street Rod Shootout will be held which includes round-robin 1/8th mile drag strip competition for the event's show car entries. Both events also feature large hot rod show & shine's, vendor exhibits, swap meet & cars for sale corral and more hot rodding excitement!
Fans will also get a chance to meet and greet Gasser Legend "Ohio George" Montgomery as he will be honored as the official Hot Rod Hero of the 7th Blue Suede Cruise in Norwalk.
