Richland, Wa -- RumbleGoat Racing has completed preparations and testing of the #7314 Ford Ranger for the legendary Best in the Desert TSCO "Vegas to Reno" desert race. With the help of new sponsors 4wheelingplus.com and Pasco Auto Wrecking (http://www.pascoautowrecking.com) as well as the continuing support of Goodyear Tires, Ford Truck Motorsport's technical exchange program, and the RGR volunteer crew, extensive body repairs, mechanical repairs, and class legal upgrades were completed since capturing third place in class at the Terrible's "250" at Primm in April, 2008.
RumbleGoat Racing's marketing manager Jim Moss said, "The Vegas to Reno race is the culmination of over a year of dedicated planning and hard work. Can you imagine four average Joe's from Washington State competing at a professional and competitive level 1000 miles from home in the most prestigious off-road race in the USA? It is only possible because of the level of support that we have received from our sponsors, crew and families. We have been fortunate enough to connect with people that share our vision and support us faithfully. For example, Tim Booth is a factory trained Ford technician for Legacy Ford in Pasco, Washington (http://www.russdeanford.com). Tim has skillfully defeated all of our electrical gremlins and has rebuilt some of our critical components for us. He will be making the trip to the race as well! With this level of support from all of our crew, we are very optimistic about our chances in at the 'Vegas to Reno'."
RumbleGoat Racing campaigns a 2006 Ford Ranger Sport 4x4 with a 4.0 SOHC motor and a 5 speed automatic transmission in the Best in the Desert (http://www.bitd) 7300 Stock Mini and Midsize Truck class. RumbleGoat Racing also provides pit services for other teams. 4Wheelingplus.com is a full service off-road shop and web based showroom for all things 4x4. Pasco Auto Wrecking provides both new and salvaged parts for late model vehicles. Goodyear simply provides the best tires in the world.
