RSS Feed

Dover, PA - Coleby Frye Racing and 2008 Mid-Atlantic Championship Series (MACS) Rookie of the Year contender Coleby Frye were in action this past weekend as the MACS Series made their annual visit to the friendly confines of Bill Sawyer's Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, VA for Ernie Shelton's 'Topless USA 100TM' that paid $10,000 to the winner.

Coleby and his Fryeco Inc. / PA College of Technology / A&A Auto Salvage and Recycling / Keystone Trailer Services / TC Race Cars / Krenn Trucking #F1 Rocket Chassis GTO finished 14th at Bedford Speedway on Friday, July 25th and followed that up with a solid second place finish at Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday in the Krenn Trucking #32. Frye finished fifth at Hesston Speedway on the 27th before heading to Lernerville Speedway on the 29th for the remaining portion of the 'Firecracker 100' presented by GottaRace.com. Coleby started in the seventh position but slowly faded throughout the event to post a 20th place finish against some of the best in the business.

On Saturday, August 2nd Coleby found himself at Selinsgrove Speedway again in the Krenn Trucking owned #32. Coleby posted a fifth place finish before getting prepared for Ernie Shelton's 'USA 100TM' at VMS. Frye posted the 17th fastest time out of the 46 cars that challenged the clock and finished eighth in his 25 lap qualifier to transfer to the 50 lap main event. Frye's night would come to an early end though as contact with another competitor on the opening lap sent him pit side for the remainder of the event. Coleby was credited with a 25th place finish.

This upcoming weekend Frye and the Coleby Frye Racing Team will be in action at Bedford Speedway in Bedford, PA on Friday, August 15 and Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, PA on Saturday, August 15. Coleby will return to action at Selinsgrove Speedway on the 23rd and then be back on the MACS trail with a trip to Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, PA for the $7,000 to win, Cleveland Brothers CAT 'Jim Shank Memorial' presented by Potoka Trucking & Repair on Friday, August 29 and then to Hesston Speedway in Hesston, PA on Saturday, August 30 for the $5,000 to win 'Big MACS Attack IV'.
