CCC introduces Comp-Est Estimating Solution 10.10
RSS Feed

Chicago--Looking to provide more features in a less complicated fashion, CCC Information Services Inc. has introduced its Comp-Est Estimating Solution 10.10.

Key new features include the new Chief Automotive Vehicle Specifications viewer and the ability to see multiple aftermarket parts when conducting a parts search.  Automatic loading of data and compatibility with the Microsoft Vista operating platform are primary among the changes to address ease of use.

"We continue to look for ways of delivering efficient marketplace solutions," said Debbie Day, senior vice president of marketing and product management at CCC.  "We feel that we've accomplished that with CCC Comp-Est 10.10."

Comp-Est users now have access to the Chief Vehicle Specifications viewer, giving them the ability to zoom in and pan on diagrams, as well as conduct point-to-point vehicle measurement.  The Chief Vehicle Specifications viewer helps the user quickly compare factory specifications to the post-accident condition and determine the proper course of action.

Users also have more options when selecting aftermarket parts.  Instead of seeing only the first matching part for an aftermarket vendor, CCC Comp-Est now has the ability to display multiple matching parts in the Aftermarket Parts Selection screen.

Another new aspect of Comp-Est 10.10 is the way users load data.  Instead of inserting the disk every time users want to launch Comp-Est, the data are now automatically loaded onto the users' hard drives when they run the monthly update DVD.

Running CCC Comp-Est from a hard drive is often faster than running from a CD or DVD and eliminates the frustration of a lost or damaged disk.
