Highland launches new SportWing aluminum hitch mounted bike carrier
RSS Feed

Plymouth, Mich.--Highland is pleased to announce the launch of the new SportWing aluminum hitch mounted bike carrier.  This product responds to the needs of avid bike enthusiasts which are not being met by traditional hitch mounted bike carriers sold in the industry.

Fitting alternative and extreme bicycle frame styles was a key focus in the development of the SportWing hitch mounted bike carrier. Unlike Highland's competitors, the SportWing patented design supports the rider's bike from the rim of the wheels, not the frame…allowing bike enthusiasts to carry any style bike frame available.

The cradles of the SportWing are adjustable to fit both adult and children's bike sizes; they are easily maneuvered up and down the support arm allowing bike enthusiasts to carry two bikes, any size, any style.  The quick release cradle and wheel straps make loading and unloading of bicycles fast and easy.  When in use, the SportWing comes with wheel and pedal straps, reducing bike sway while in tow. Each support arm was manufactured with the highest grade of aluminum material allowing the entire bike carrier to weigh less than 20 lbs.

During the off-season simply remove the support arms for compact storage.

The Highland SportWing aluminum hitch mounted bike carrier has been extensively tested to uphold to the industry's highest standards. It is easy to assemble and conveniently fits both a 1-1/4" and 2" receiver.  Carry any style bike frame in this sporty 2-place bike carrier designed to hold up to 100 lbs. (weight capacity).
