Overland Park, Kan. -- NAPA Auto Parts and Community Wholesale Tire teamed up with the NAPA KC Metro Select group on Oct. 11 for a Car Care Fair to promote Car Care Awareness Month.
The event took place in a shopping mall parking lot at 95th and Metcalf. Members of the NAPA KC Metro Select group performed free maintenance checks on 38 vehicles, said KC Metro Select President Darren Hart, owner of Hart's Auto Repair in Liberty, Mo.
The inspection checks included fluids, belts, hoses, battery, air filter, and tires. NAPA provided all of the fluids, and Community Wholesale Tire gave out tire-pressure gauges, tread-depth measuring tools, and information on vehicle maintenance.

Free maintenance checks were performed during the Car Care Fair sponsored by NAPA Auto Parts, Community Wholesale Tire, and the NAPA KC Metro Select group. The event took place in Overland Park, Kan., on Oct. 11 to promote Car Care Awareness month.

Bob George, owner of State Line Tire & Auto Center in Kansas City and member of the NAPA KC Metro Select group, provides the final maintenance review to a customer. All the maintenance checks were provided free of charge. NAPA provided all fluids, and Community Wholesale Tire gave away tire-pressure gauges and tread-depth measurers.
