Participants in the 14th annual Ultimate Truck Show and Customer Appreciation Day prepare their entries for judging.               Omaha--Ultimate Truck held its 14th annual Ultimate Truck Show and Customer Appreciation Day on May 19. Scott Benson, president of Ultimate Truck, at 135th Street and Millard Avenue, said the show attracted more than 50 vehicles. "What originally started as an open house has evolved into a customer appreciation day coupled with a Truck Show," he said.
"The Truck Show consists of five different classes of vehicles, which are judged by the participants themselves," Benson said. The classes consisted of Street, Modified, Pro, Trail Ready, and Used/Abused. The Used/Abused class must be street legal, he added.
Trophies were awarded to Best GM, Best Ford, Best Jeep, Best Dodge, Best Foreign, and top in each class, Benson said. Manufacturers donated door prizes, he said, and the club with the most participants won $100.Jessica Knoke shows her '99 Jeep Wrangler Sport and Rob White his 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sahara at the Ultimate Truck Show.
As for the customer appreciation day, Benson said, Ultimate Truck provided free food and drink for all who attended the day's festivities. Jerry Kems, manager of Ultimate Truck, said the store does retail and wholesale sales. He said the for the customer who doesn't have the equipment or technical experience, they have an installation center headed by Eric Stadjuhar. Ultimate Truck stocks wheels, on- and off-road tires, suspension parts, exhaust systems, and accessories for truck and Jeep enthusiasts, he said.
