BK Auto Body of Scott Citywill move its business to a new site on the south edge of the city. The body shop and used-car dealership said initial plans call for construction of a building on five acres south of the city limits on U.S. 83.
Osage Chevrolet-Buick employees Dave Fowler and Aaron Karnes received top honors in a yearlong General Motors Professional Service Guild Program. GM Platinum Mark of Excellence Awards went to Fowler in brake systems and Karnes for engines. Karnes ranked first out of 635 in the engine program, and Fowler was seventh of 421 in the brake program.
Parks Motors of Augustawas named 2006 Chrysler Dealer of the Year for the Midwest. The honor is given to the dealer who ranks highest in customer satisfaction, parts, warranty service, facility, and sales.
Missouri
Bob Balderson, owner of Blue Springs Ford,signed an agreement in March to buy Independence Lincoln Mercury and Independence Mazda from Soave Automotive Group. "We are going to move it all to Blue Springs," Balderson said. "It's kind of the wave of the future for Ford Motor Co., to combine Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury all in one facility and make the facility a little bigger."
Keith Beck Auto Group is the new owner of the former Frontier Motors Boonville's Dodger-Chrysler-Jeep. Overseeing operations will be Tracy Winslow, who has worked for Beck for nearly two years.

The Automotive Service Association of Nebraska (ASA-NE)held its monthly meeting in Lincoln at Knolls Restaurant & Lounge on May 2.Twenty-four people from shops in Lincoln and Omaha attended the meeting, where guest speaker Pat Kavan, retail sales executive for First National Bank of Omaha, said electronic money transfers are going to be a way of life very soon. Consumers will pay most of their bills by credit card or debit card, and business people will need to be aware of fraud and identity theft, he said.
The employees of Armbruster Motor Co. of Falls City are offering two $300 scholarships this spring to two graduating seniors from Richardson County high schools that plan to continue their education.
Sandi Fischer, comptroller at Ernst Toyota Jeep of Columbus, received the 2006 Toyota Comptroller Award for Excellence.
The Nebraska Autobody Association and Russwood Chrysler Inc. have announced the winner of the 2007 Russwood Chrysler Scholarship. The $500 scholarship for the outstanding student completing training in automotive technology was awarded to Brad Peterson of Southeast Community College in Milford. Nicholas Kruse of Hartington is the winner of the 2007 Enterprise Rent-A-Car Scholarship, the Nebraska Autobody Association and Enterprise announced. Kruse has been attending Northeast Community College and works at Auto Hospital of Hartington. He has a 3.787 GPA.
Zook Motors of South Sioux City has purchased Dave Schweder Hyundai of South Sioux City. Former Owner Dave Schweder has joined Zook as general sales manager.
