Crist said ASA-CO now rents space in an office building at 10090 Garrison St., a location easy to get to from U.S. 36.
The building has an excellent facility for training and board meetings, Crist said. The training room can seat 40 people and is available to members and associate members, she added.
The board of directors is preparing to conduct elections for the 2007 fiscal year, which ends in June, and is looking for new board members, Crist said.
Crist said board member Dan Stander, general manager of Jerry Stander's Collision Works in Littleton, has created repair procedure cards that clearly explain the steps required for blend, like-kind-quality (LKQ), and repaired panels, comparing them to new-panel repair procedures. Shop owners can then use this as an aid in educating insurers on why using anything but new panels costs more.
Stander's repair cards are now used nationwide, Crist said, and are a valued member benefit. The cards led Stander to a role with the national ASA Collision Division Operations Committee, she said.
Rather than hold a spring business conference, Crist said ASA-CO is planning a fall trade show for 2007. Members will receive more details in the near future, she added.
Crist also mentioned that a hunting outing is planned for March 23 at Kiowa Creek. The event includes morning pheasant hunt, clay pigeon session, and lunch. For more information, contact Crist at 303-202-5231 or e-mail linda@asacolorado.org.
