Steve Bryant, longtime counterman at Pro Chrysler Jeep in Thornton, is projected to hit $1.7 million in back counter parts sales by the end of the year, said Parts Manager Zack Bossung. This is a personal record for Bryant, who at the time of print, recorded more than $1.5 million in parts sales while serving dealership's 25-bay service department.
The Colorado Automobile Dealers Association (CADA) stated opposition to Governor Bill Ritter's plans to adopt California emission standards for Colorado vehicles and to impose California Air Resources Board (CARB) mandates on Colorado motorists. "Auto manufacturers are spending billions of dollars annually to reduce emissions," said Tim Jackson, CADA president. "Despite these efforts, however, the technology is simply not yet available to meet the Cal-LEV standards as early as 2016. It is impossible to legislate technology."
Donny Seyfer, co-owner of Seyfer Automotive in Wheat Ridge and chairman of the Automotive Service Association of Colorado (ASA-CO) testified on Oct. 24-25 in Maine to educate Maine citizens and legislators on the availability of vehicle service information. ASA believes Right to Repair legislation in Maine would interfere with voluntary, industry-supported service information process already in place that protects independent repair shops and the motoring public.
