Lenexa, Kan. -- Peter Inman, president of Tech Inc., parent company of Tech Supply, recently announced the acquisition of Danielson Equipment and Supply, a tire supplies and equipment, sales, service, and installation company in Omaha.
Danielson Equipment has been a distributor of Tech tire repair and service products since the early 1990s, Inman said, adding that Tech Incorporated worked very closely with Danielson to bring them into the tire supplies distribution business. The company is now known as Danielson Tech Supply.
"This should be a good thing for the employees and a great thing for our customers," said Dave Danielson, manager of Danielson Tech Supply. "The wider expansion of products and the buying power of the two entities make us more competitive."
Danielson, who has been in business more than 25 years, said the company carries tire service supplies and equipment as well as many other automotive related service products. Danielson Tech Supply services Nebraska, South Dakota, and Iowa.
"We're not out to reinvent the wheel but to enhance distribution," Inman said. "We do not plan on making any major changes to the business and Dave Danielson will continue to manage the operation."
The operations will be integrated through Techs computer system which will enable Danielson Tech Supply to access additional inventories from Tech's four other warehouses, Inman said. The move allows Danielson Tech Supply to benefit from better acquisition pricing, enabling them to be more competitive.
"Approximately six years ago, as Tech Supply's customers grew and began expanding into Nebraska and Iowa, the need to develop a distribution platform in this area to improve service became apparent" Inman said. Expansion not only to improves service to our existing customer base but enables us to develop new business relationships as well.
