placed Jun 27th,2008

Staunton, Va.--Federated had another successful day at the races at the annual Federated 300 on June 7 in Nashville, Tenn., entertaining customers and recognizing supplier support during the festivities, said Rusty Bishop, CEO of Federated Auto Parts.

"The Federated 300 is special event for over 1,200 Federated customers due, in part, to the efforts of our great suppliers who help sponsor the race," Bishop said.  "We appreciate each and every one of our supplier partners and are always pleased to honor our award-winning suppliers through their participation in the activities surrounding the Federated 300."

Three of Federated's award-winning supplier partners helped to get the 13th annual Federated Auto Parts 300 off to a rousing start.  Bob Egan of Federal-Mogul, who was recently inducted into Federated's Vendor Hall of Fame, served as grand marshal of the race.  Jack Jones of Affinia gave the command to "start your engines," and Dan Langdon of East Penn Manufacturing Co. waved the green flag to start the race.

During Federated's annual membership meeting April 23-26 in Dallas, Affinia earned the 2007 Sales Representation Vendor of the Year Award, and East Penn was named the 2007 Federated Outstanding Vendor of the Year.

A near-capacity crowd saw Brad Keselowski cross the finish line first to capture the checkered flag at the Federated 300 at the Nashville SuperSpeedway.  The crowd also enjoyed a pre-race country music concert while a nationwide audience tuned in the broadcast of the race on ESPN2.
