Sweat-equity built Xtreme to two locations; now ‘lean’ will help manage them

Jefferson City, Mo.—Like many successful collision repair shop owners, Chris Russell, who owns two Xtreme Body and Paint locations with his wife, Liz, started in the business as a technician before striking out on his own in 2003.

His business has grown by leaps and bounds since he opened shop in 2003, largely because a lot of sweat equity, Russell said, but he plans to implement a few changes in the new year to position the business for growth and to be more easily managed.

“I like where I am, but I want to go to the next level,” he said.
