AAIA rebrands, focuses on industry recruitment and eyes telematics

Napa, Calif.—What’s in a name? A lot, says Kathleen Schmatz.

A rebranding of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) to the “Auto Care Association,” and the term “aftermarket” to “independent market,” will officially launch April 23, said Schmatz, president and CEO of AAIA, who detailed why the change is necessary for the industry moving forward.
