CARSTAR Partners with NABC Recycled Rides™ Program and Farmers Insurance to Donate Refurbished Vehicles to Kansas City Charities and a Deserving Student in Need of Reliable Transportation

CHARLOTTE (March 5, 2019) – On Thursday, March 7, two Kansas City charities and one deserving local college student will experience a life-changing event – the presentation of vehicles to provide the student independence and the ability to attend class and allow the charities to support their constituents – thanks to the National Auto Body Council’s Recycled Rides™ program, Farmers Insurance and CARSTAR, along with two other collision repair facilities. The presentation will be held at Farmers Insurance office in Olathe, KS.  
WHO:  NABC Recycled Rides™ program, along with partners:
• Farmers Insurance, which donated the vehicles
• CARSTAR Cunningham Auto & Collision, which handled the repairs on two of the vehicles
• Recipients Veterans Community Project (VCP), Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kansas City and Carolyn Wing, a student nominated by the Olathe Public Schools Foundation
WHAT:  NABC and Farmers, along with the repair partners, will present four vehicles to deserving organizations and one individual:
Veterans Community Project in Kansas City, MO will receive two vehicles, a 2010 Ford Fusion repaired by CARSTAR Cunningham Auto & Collision and a 2016 Chevy repaired by local Wichita, KS repair facility.

CARSTAR Cunningham Auto & Collision also refurbished a 2016 Ford Fiesta for a deserving Pittsburg State student – Carolyn Wing -- who was nominated by the Olathe Public Schools Foundation.

The Boys & Girls Club of Kansas City will receive a 2008 Jeep Liberty repaired by a local Kansas City repair facility.

NABC Recycled Rides™ is a unique program in which businesses representing all facets of the collision repair industry team up to repair and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need of reliable transportation. Since the inception of the Recycled Rides™ program in 2007, members of the National Auto Body Council have donated more than 2,000 vehicles valued at more than $36 million.
