BILSTEIN LOORRS Racers Triumph in Round One

Mooresville, NC –  BILSTEIN-backed racers kicked off the 2019 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series in style, with Ryan Beat (Pro Lite) and Jerett Brooks (Pro 2) winning their first races of the year at Glen Helen Raceway in Southern California.

As defending LOORRS Pro Lite champion (BILSTEIN-supported racers have won the last three series championships), Beat started the race in pole position and lived up to his #1 plate by taking the victory on BILSTEIN shocks. Beat has announced this is his final season racing Pro Lite before changing classes.

“2019 is going to be a big one for us,” Beat said before the race. “Especially with it being our last one, we want to really focus, put our heads down and try to win another one and go out on top. The pressure is on and we’re not letting up.”

Meanwhile, in the Pro 2 category it was déjà vu for Brooks with his first-round triumph—a repeat performance of his inaugural run in the top two-wheel drive category from last year.
“We’re throwing a lot at this truck this year,” Brooks noted, referring to the brand-new BILSTEIN suspension setup he drove to victory.

In the Pro Buggy class, BILSTEIN-backed Trey D. Gibbs made his way onto the podium, earning a third-place finish in his AlumiCraft machine. Having come from the world of Mod Karts racing, Gibbs was last year’s LOORRS Pro Buggy rookie of the year.

Up next is LOORRS Round 2, set for April 13 at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, Arizona.
