4 Wheel Parts Offers Off-Road Recovery Workshops for Women in Westminster, Denver and Colorado Springs on June 21-23.
4WP will be teaming up with Charlene Bower to teach women off-road repair and recovery fundamentals at local workshops. Classes will include hands-on training, networking opportunities, t-shirts and meals. In addition to hosting the classes, 4WP will be giving customers the option of rounding up their purchases to the dollar now through November 25, with all proceeds going to charity.
Compton, CA (May 13, 2019) – 4 Wheel Parts, North America's largest retailer and installer of off-road automobile accessories, is proud to announce the Ladies Offroad Network's 2019 Trail Training Tour. This nationwide series of workshops is aimed at teaching women beginner-to-advanced level skills in off-road repair and recovery.
The Offroad Trail Training classes will be held at 4WP stores in Westminster, Denver and Colorado Springs on June 21-23.
Each 5-hour class will focus on the skills required to be self-sufficient in common recovery situations. Class topics include How to Use Your Winch, Rig Recovery Techniques and Tools, What is a Pull-Pal, How to Use a Hi-Lift Jack, How to Plug a Tire and How to Change a Tire. There will be discussions on potential safety situations and emphasis placed on how women can accomplish heavy tasks. Classes will be taught by Charlene Bower, a lifelong off-roader with extensive experience in Jeeps, 4x4s, UTVS and dirt bikes.
“Women have a different communication style than men and I teach with that learning process in mind,“ said Bower. “I have found that if a class is majority men, the ladies are more likely to stand to the back and let the guys do the hands-on portions. In our class, the ladies outnumber the guys and everyone does the hands-on sections with encouragement from everyone.”
The cost for each class is $69 per person. A Jeep, vehicle bay and work tools will be provided by 4WP. The classes are primarily geared towards women but men and children are welcome to join.
4WP will not only be hosting the workshops, but the industry retailer will be supporting the community in other ways. Between May 3-November 25, 4WP sales associates will be asking customers if they would be willing to round-up their store purchases to the dollar. Proceeds will go to Warfighter Made, which provides recreational therapy to ill, injured and combat-wounded veterans.
