ATRA’s Powertrain Expo will offer computer reprogramming and diagnostic classes

Oxnard, Calif.—The Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association (ATRA) will kick off Industry Week in Las Vegas with its Powertrain Expo at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino, Oct. 29-Nov. 1.

On the technical side, there will be more than 24 hours of seminars presented by 15 experts from around the world, covering subjects as wide-ranging as computer reprogramming and engine diagnosis, as well as transmission information..

The management seminars will include over a dozen hours of in-depth material, from sales and management experts such as Jim Cathcart, Alex Goldfayn and Mark Sanborn, who will focus on relating to Millennials as they enter the workforce and become a significant market segment.

The seminar program culminates with a keynote address at the annual ATRA luncheon, sponsored by Raybestos. The speaker, John Ratzenberger, will be sharing his observations on today’s shortage of skilled laborers and how to avoid problems in the years ahead.

ATRA will be sharing its trade show floor with the Big R/ReMaTecUSA show, billed as the largest remanufacturing event in North America. The combined trade show floor space is more than 90,000 square feet of suppliers and service providers.

Attendees will receive total access to each trade show, providing face-to-face contact with more than 150 exhibitors from 14 countries, representing the entire automotive spectrum, offering many promotions.
