Suppliers Urged to Attend USMCA Briefing with USTR

June 11, 2019--All motor vehicle parts suppliers with operations in North America are encouraged to attend an important briefing with the United States Trade Representative staff to review the details of the new North American trade deal on Monday, June 24 in Greenville, S.C. The event will be held at the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research. Registration is now open. The registration deadline is Thursday, June 20.

The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) will replace the North American Free Trade Agreement if it is ratified by Congress and the other two trade partners. A vote to ratify the deal could take place later this year. The full agenda can be viewed here.

This meeting is an opportunity for members to hear directly from the office of the USTR, hear an overview of what is in the agreement, and to ask questions about how the agreement could impact business. This event is not open to the media. A link to the full agenda can be found here.

The event is open to all members of MEMA divisions -- AASA, HDMA, MERA, and OESA -- as well as non-members. The registration fee is $100 for members and $150 for non-members.
