ATE East announces new dates for inaugural event in Spokane
Lakewood, Wash.-The Automotive Service Association Northwest (ASA-NW) has announced new dates — Oct. 25-26 — for the Automotive Training Expo East (ATE East) at the Doubletree Hotel in Spokane.
“We’ve been sold out the past six years at ATE in Seattle, and our members have asked for more training because automotive technology is changing so fast,” said Jeff Lovell, AMAM, president and executive director of ASA-NW. “This allows our members more opportunity to obtain training, especially if they cannot attend ATE in Seattle each March.”
Lovell added that ATE East will draw attendees from throughout Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho, and Montana, as well as service and repair shops from Western Washington and parts of Oregon. He also said five scholarships will be available to attend ATE East with the application forms on the ATE East website that will be functional June 7.
ATE East will feature 24 mechanical and management training classes instructed by 12 nationally recognized trainers. Classes will be on Friday and Saturday with 10-15 vendors displaying goods and services at a table top trade show just after classes on Friday evening. Food and refreshments will be available during the table top display time frame.
“We expect between 200-250 attendees at our inaugural event in Spokane,” Lovell said.
Current training sponsors for ATE East include CTI, WORLDPAC, Autologic, Advance Professional, Kukui, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Federated Insurance, BCNW, and Interstate Batteries.
ATE and ATE East are produced by ASA-NW with Parts & People/Northwest Edition serving as the official media sponsor. For further information, including class offerings, instructor bios, registration, hotel data, and more, visit www.ATEEAST.com after June 7.
