Diagnostic tools, equipment, and specialty products to be displayed at ATE
SeaTac, Wash.-The Automotive Training Expo (ATE) has sold out its more than 60 management and training classes for the March 22-24 event at the Doubletree Hotel across from Sea-Tac International Airport. For those registered for training classes, there is a trade show on Friday and Saturday evenings that will offer attendees a plethora of automotive parts, business solutions, technologies, supplies, insurance services, plus specialized shop tools and equipment.
Industry professionals not registered for classes may also attend the show by purchasing tickets in advance or at the door for $15.

Precision Tech Platinum Plus
The Precision Tech Platinum Plus will be featured by Allview Services, a longtime Northwest equipment supplier and training company. Designed for European and Asian diagnostics, this is a complete diagnostic tool “that is excellent at SCN coding on Mercedes-Benz and CIP programming with BMW vehicles,” said Ed Schaplow, Allview founder. “It supports dealer-level functions on all supported vehicles and has built-in J2534 capability.” Allview will also offer show specials on other diagnostic tools, front-end alignment systems, and its training classes.
Cuda Aqueous parts washers
Cuda Washington will display the Cuda Aqueous parts washers, which are “safe, no-solvent, and environmentally friendly solutions to cleaning parts automatically,” said Jennifer Kahler, owner of Cuda Washington, adding that washers use pressurized hot water and industrial detergents to clean parts. “With our washers, technicians simply load the parts, close the lid, and push the start button.”
A Cuda washer can typically serve three to four techs at one time.
CTEK MXS 5.0 charger
Interstate Batteries is featuring the CTEK MXS 5.0 charger, said Kevin Marks of All Battery Sales & Service (Interstate Batteries Seattle). This test and charge unit is suitable for batteries from 1.2Ah to 110Ah, has an eight-step approach to battery care, is a fully automatic microprocessor-controlled unit with a built-in automatic temperature sensor, and is a completely sealed charger. The MXS 5.0 is also spark proof and reverse-polarity protected.
ATS eScope Elite 4
AutoMaster Training will feature several diagnostic products, including the ATS eScope Elite 4. “This is an amazing four-bundle unit that includes a four-channel scope that operates on a Windows 10 Surface Pro Tablet,” said Gary Smith, exhibitor and trainer at ATE 2019. The Elite 4 powers pressure or vacuum transducers, automatically acquires signals, and is the only automotive four-channel scope running a 16-bit processor.
PFM-X9 Rotor Matching System
Pro-Cut International will display its PFM-X9 Rotor Matching System, said Aaron Norris, national sales manager-West, which uses a third-generation belt drive technology and has six LED work lights to fully illuminate the vehicle wheel area. “The X9 incorporates an all-new X frame chassis for increased rigidity and strength,” Norris said. With an available GYR measuring system, techs can have complete vehicle brake specs and rotor data readily available.
uTest Advanced Terminal Test KitAESwave will offer a variety of scan tools, systems testers, and related products, including its uTest Advanced Terminal Test Kit, said Carlos Menchu. It contains 13 sets of terminal leads, including Micro 50 and Micro 64 flats; Fuse Amp Loops with large loops and flexible wire for ease of connection and placement; micro backprobes; male and female coupler leads; a 10K Ohm variable resistor; set of alligator clips, large jaw gators, pin tip probes; and more. The kit is designed to work with a tech’s lab scope or DMM to connect to a variety of sensors, actuators, and circuits.
Autonerdz will again feature the PicoQuad 4425 Ultra Kit, a four-channel scope that Autonerdz Picogroup has marketed and provided training and support for across North America over the past 15 years. It is a complete kit with all the needed accessories and has a full WPS pressure testing kit, said Tom Roberts, Autonerdz founder.
