Urban Autocare has acquired a second location with the acquisition of Sundance Auto, one block west of 26th Avenue and Kipling Street in Lakewood, Colo. (the first is located on 17th Avenue and High Street in Denver). Both locations will service all makes and models and is owned by Brian Sump, who also owns Avalon Motorsports in Denver. The newly acquired 4,900-square-foot shop with eight bays and seven lifts is managed presently by Phil Carpenter, who also runs the first location, and staffed with four technicians and two service advisers.

The Colorado Air Quality Control Commission (AQCC) is considering copying California’s electric-vehicle mandates, which could add several thousands of dollars to the price of new vehicles for Coloradans who want an SUV or pickup, according to a Colorado Politics report.

4 Wheel Parts is offering off-road recovery workshops for women in Westminster, Denver and Colorado Springs on June 21-23. The five-hour classes will include hands-on training, networking opportunities, T-shirts and meals. In addition to hosting the classes, 4WP will be giving customers the option of rounding up their purchases to the dollar now through Nov. 25, with all proceeds going to charity. Larry H. Miller Dealerships celebrated its10th Annual Day of Service by giving back to Colorado communities. Nearly 300 employees representing all 13 Larry H. Miller dealerships throughout Colorado volunteered during the company-wide annual Day of Service to honor and continue the legacy of the company’s founder on his birthday. This year’s event is also celebrated the company’s 40th anniversary. Larry H. The second annual 2019 ASA Colorado Golf “Fore” ASA Green Tournament will be Saturday, Sept. 7, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m., at the Walnut Creek Golf Preserve, in Broomfield. Kimberly Frasher, director of Customer Experience, Axiom Accident & Hail Repair in Englewood, Colo., has been appointed to the Women’s Industry Network (WIN) Board of Directors. The board is designed to further WIN’s mission to promote women in the collision repair industry, support professional development, create a wide network of women across the country, and to provide educational tools for young professionals.

For the third straight year, Lake Arbor Automotive & Truck has spearheaded the donation of an automobile to a deserving mother at Hope House of Colorado. Lake Arbor Auto recently presented a low-mileage 1999 Chevrolet Lumina to Lexus Flanery in a ceremony at the Westminster, Colo.-based vehicle repair shop. Lake Arbor Auto has an ongoing arrangement with Hope House in which the shop provides a budgeted amount of free repair and maintenance annually for autos that are owned by the Hope House residents.

Capital Paint and Refinish will have its inaugural golf tournament, Aug. 9, at the Mariana Butte Golf Course in Loveland, Colo. The Southern Colorado Mopars Car Club and Perkins Motors will also hold its Fourth Annual Motor City Car Show, Saturday, June 8, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., at its dealership on 1205 Motor City Drive, Colorado Springs. The show is free and open to the public.
