Sparta Collision Repair Facility has announce the winners of “Hit a Buck, Win Some Dough” contest. Overkill Custom Inc. runs the contest from Oct. 1 through Jan. 31 every year. “We try to make a bad experience a little fun for the customers. The top three insurance claims due to a deer hit receive cash prizes when the contest is over.” The first-place winner was Jerry Kelly, second place went to Charlie Gray, and third-place winner was Tony and Laura Berry.

The Auto Care Association announced the latest recipients of the 2019 World Class Technician award. In partnership with the ASE, the two organizations provide the annual designation to recognize professional technicians who have achieved ASE certification in 22 specialty areas during the 2018 certification test administration. Local recipients included Amos Eaton, Pevely, Mo; Ryan Egleston, St. Louis; Travis Guenzler, Catawissa, Mo; and Jason Hodge, St. Charles, Mo.
Mopar has announced its “Top Tech” and “Top Advisor” award winners. Area Top Advisor winner was Michael Riley of South County Dodge Chrysler Jeep. Area Top Tech’s were Patrick Declue of All Star Dodge Chrysler Jeep; Douglas Koester of Goeckner Bros. Inc; Michael Nation of Bob Ridings Chrysler Dodge Inc; and J Vieth of Little Jess Motor Company.
Gail Noblot, formerly of White Auto Body, passed away March 5. Noblot began her career as the office manager of White Auto Body in Florissant, Mo. She was then promoted to the position of Chief Financial Officer.
Owner and operator of The Auto Shop LLC of Carbondale, Steve Rennison passed away on March 12. Rennison was also a past president of APSA-IL.
St. Louis I-CAR committee recently accepted the Gold Committee award at at the 2019 I-CAR Volunteer And Instructor Conference. The award is presented to I-CAR committees that meet all of their growth and development goals in a given year.
