St. Louis-based Energizer recently acquired Spectrum Brands’ Global Auto Care Business (Spectrum Auto Care) in a cash and stock transaction valued at approximately $1.25 billion. The acquired portfolio includes some of the industry’s most globally recognizable brands, including Armor All, STP and A/C Pro.
Zisser Tire Wholesale added the OTANI line of passenger tires, avoiding Chinese tariffs. Wholesale Manager Rick Camden said, “This will help us honor our slogan ‘HOME OF THE LEO’ (Least Expensive Option). Camden added that “Zisser Tire Wholesale offers Goodyear and Bridgestone/Firestone to help with any short falls in supply” as those lines have been dropped from another area tire distributor.
Jerome Lentz of Challenger Lifts, in Louisville, Ky., was elected chairman of the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI). ALI, the trade association dedicated to vehicle lift safety, elected its 2019 board of directors at the annual meeting Oct. 28 in Las Vegas. The ALI Board of Directors includes representatives of vehicle lift manufacturer members, as well as a representative elected by the ALI Associate Class.
