New motor oil by Liqui Moly for classic cars
Ulm-Lehr, Germany—German oil and additive specialist Liqui Moly has developed an oil for classic cars that is exclusively designed for the engine technology of decades gone by: The Classic 20W-50.
Low viscosity synthetic oils are generally not suitable for the assemblies of classic cars. These are made up of other materials such as white alloys, non-ferrous alloys and had different fabrication tolerances and oil change intervals to modern cars. That’s why the oil technology should come from the same time as the engine technology. The new Classic 20W-50 is clearly superior to old oils from that time. “It combines the compatibility of old oils with modern wear protection technology,” said Dietmar Schmid, application engineer at Liqui Moly. Classic 20W-50 was developed especially for year-round use in younger classic cars built after 1960 and which are already equipped with an oil filter element.
Brembo introduces new B-M6 Caliper at SEMA Show 2018
Las Vegas—Brembo debuted its all-new B-M6 six-piston aluminum monobloc brake caliper at the 2018 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
The caliper is designed for the front corners of sports coupes and sedans, high-performance SUVs, and supercars that use either cast-iron or Brembos advanced CCM-R carbon-ceramic discs. It is available in five colors - black, red, yellow, white and fluorescent yellow and can be paired with the B-M4 caliper on the rear axle, where applicable.
Developed to increase overall braking performance, the systems provide consistent braking power and feel under extreme conditions. Typical applications would include Audi S/RS models, BMW M2/M3/M4, X5M/X6M, Chevrolet Camaro and Corvette, Ford Mustang, Porsche 911/Turbo/GT3, and many more.
The B-M6 caliper accommodates brake discs up to 410x36mm (16.14x1.42”), and is optimized for use with wide annulus discs and brake pads, providing significantly more braking surface area.

BG Products new fuel system service removes carbon to help restore fuel efficiency
Wichita, Kan.—BG introduces the new BG Platinum Fuel System Service, an enhanced atomization procedure which removes carbon from fuel systems.
“After nearly a decade of research and on-vehicle testing, we can confidently say that we have developed a revolutionary solution to the carbon buildup problems in today’s engines,” said Darin Greseth, BG president and CEO. “No teardown, no downtime, no walnut shells, just BG.”
While some existing service solutions may have an impact on deposits, improper atomization can cause pooling and may result in hydrolocking the engine. Chemistries, equipment, and even re-engineering have tried to address this issue, but still the deposits remain unbroken in the intake.
The BG Platinum Fuel System Service solves this problem with innovative equipment and a procedure that offers the most effective atomization for removal of deposit buildup.
